The South Oak Cliff Golden Bears celebrated the football team’s 2025 5A Division II UIL State Championship today with a parade down South Marsalis Avenue and a community celebration on the field that followed. Speakers at the event included local leaders, state and city elected officials and the winning team’s Jason Todd, the first Black head football coach in Texas history to win three UIL state football championships. Here are some scenes from the parade and celebration on Dallas County’s South Oak Cliff High School Day and Coach Jason Todd Day, as proclaimed by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
