Fitness studio Urban Lagree is coming to our neighborhood with a planned opening on Feb. 1 at 5815 Live Oak St.

Urban Lagree currently has locations around Austin and one in San Antonio. As its name suggests, the studio promotes the Lagree method, which is a high-intensity, low-impact, full-body workout that is similar to Pilates and uses the Megaformer machine. Classes are meant to build strength, endurance, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and balance.

“We’re thrilled to bring Urban Lagree to the Lakewood community,” co-owners and Lagree fitness trainers Abbie Rosser and Katie Hayes said in a press release. “Dallas is a dynamic fitness community, and we’re excited to introduce Urban’s signature programming, known for its challenging, fitness-driven approach to the Lagree Method. We’re eager to create a space where people can push themselves, build strength and feel genuinely supported both inside and outside the studio.”

Upon opening in the Lakewood area, Urban Lagree will start its class offerings with the 45-minute Full Body class, according to the press release. Beginner and advanced courses as well as private sessions and studio buyouts will be introduced in the coming weeks. The Mega Pro, a new Lagree machine for “more precise and targeted muscle engagement” will be used at the new studio.

In its first week, Urban Lagree plans to offer a week of free classes, two per person, available for booking here. Class packs and a founding membership are also being sold, including three classes for $45, 10 classes for $225 and unlimited monthly classes for $195 (minimum three-month contract).
