Dallas Police are investigating after two people were stabbed to death near the intersection of North Good Latimer Expressway and Floyd Street over the weekend.

Police responded to the call at about 1:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7. Alyshah Punjani, 28, and Adrian Williams Jr., 30, were stabbed and later died at a hospital. Officers are accusing 27-year-old Sergio Naffarratte of committing the crime, according to The DPD Beat

NBC DFW reported that witnesses claim Punjani, Williams and Naffarratte got into a fight, but it’s not clear who started the altercation. Naffarratte and an unnamed woman he was with said the fight started when the two deceased men were walking behind them and making derogatory comments toward the woman. Naffarratte said one of the men struck the woman he was with, causing him to intervene, but she did not report that incident to police.

Naffarratte was found with a bloody pocket knife, and he admitted to injuring the other two men, according to the arrest warrant obtained by NBC.

Naffarratte was booked into Dallas County Jail on Saturday and is facing capital murder of multiple persons charges.
