With big-name concerts, athletic events and other giant spectacles on constant cycle at the American Airlines Center, you may have already guessed that vendors there sell more alcoholic beverages than any other bar, restaurant or venue in Dallas County. Do you know which Lake Highlands hot spots keep the cash registers ringing? The answers may surprise you.

Bar Mart is a Haltom City-based supplier providing bar equipment, cocktail mixes and paper goods to the hospitality industry, and they collect data on alcoholic beverage receipts directly from the Texas State Comptroller. In May of 2025, the last date published, the top booze seller in zip codes 75238, 75231 and 75243 was Ojos Locos Sports Cantina at Jupiter Road and LBJ Freeway with $343,692. TopGolf at Park Lane and Abrams came in second with $309,697. Mariano’s Hacienda on Skillman was third with $242,681. Next were Royal Oaks Country Club with $155,168, Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Club with $140,160, Las Flamas with $138,272, Mi Cocina with $135,608 and Doce Mesas with $126,022.

These numbers don’t include food — they are only figures for alcohol sales. The sale of alcohol is highly regulated in Texas, and venues must carefully collect and report monthly sales to the state.

In the state of Texas, Globe Life Field, the Texas Rangers’ ballpark, was first in May with $3,461,629 as baseball season was in full swing. AT&T Cowboys Stadium, which hosts Monster Jam, soccer matches, Supercross, concerts, Grand Prix races and other events, was close behind with $2,713,406. The J.W. Marriott Resort in San Antonio came in third with $2,535,927.

In Dallas County, Dos Equis Pavilion was second to the AAC with $1,259,756 and the Hilton Anatole was third with $1,047,494. The popular Katy Trail Ice House, in full bloom each May as hikers and bikers hit the trail, was fourth with $1,006,611.
