Edgemere Senior Living, located here in Preston Hollow, comprises private residences, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing, all within beautifully-appointed facilities. In addition, regularly-scheduled Wellness Fairs, CPR training classes, and support groups focused on Alzheimer’s, dementia, and grief, are open to the general public. Complementing this commitment to community and wellness, Edgemere announces its 2nd Annual Walk for Parkinson’s coming up next month.
Parkinson’s disease is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world; in North Texas, over 15,000 people are living with the disease. Hosted in partnership with the Dallas Area Parkinson Society (DAPS), the Walk for Parkinson’s is a family- and pet-friendly neighborhood event established to raise awareness and support for the cause. The inaugural walk took place in 2025, marking Edgemere’s standing as the only Certified Parkinson Disease Care community in Texas and gathering over 500 attendees.
The 2nd Annual Walk for Parkinson’s will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026. A central parking and gathering location has been set for Park Cities Baptist Church (3933 Northwest Parkway) directly across from Edgemere Senior Living. Shuttle service will be available to and from the trail, and refreshments will be provided to all participants. Registration is now open online; click here for more information via PDF download.
