A local emailed the Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate this week and reported seeing a man who appeared to look like Jesus on Tuesday evening at the corner of Lovers Lane and Matilda Street.

The pictures attached showed a bearded individual with dark hair almost to his shoulders, wearing a shin-length white tunic and a cornflower blue robe over one shoulder, carrying an off-white tote bag while walking across Lovers Lane barefoot.

The local emailed us to ask if we had seen him as well. We had not. She hadn’t seen “Jesus” before and reported he was walking from the northeast and standing in front of Baylor Scott & White Urgent Care

A receptionist at the clinic said she saw him in the Central Market parking lot, but he wasn’t in the urgent care center. She also reported only seeing him once. Upon following up with Central Market, two people who work there said they hadn’t seen him at all.

Perhaps the man could be affiliated with a local church, but the nearby Zion Lutheran Church said that is not the case for them. There are multiple religious institutions in this area, but most appeared to be closed when this reporter was calling around.

If you’ve seen this man out and about, please let us know. Feel free to email medwards@advocatemag.com with more details.
