The Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League is gearing up for its annual Run the Highlands, a community race that brings neighbors and friends together for fitness and philanthropy on April 25, 2026.
The event features a 5K run and a “1-Mile Family Trail Walk,” welcoming participants of all ages and experience levels. After the race, families and participants can enjoy the Run the Highlands Carnival. The carnival will include booths sponsored by local businesses, a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting and balloon animals.
Proceeds from the event will support the addition of a gateway sign and landscape enhancements that will welcome visitors to the Lake Highlands community.
Registration is available through Race Roster, and participants can sign up individually or join an existing team.
At checkout, youth discounts of $5 for children ages 12 and under, as well as $5 discounts for groups of four or more, will be automatically applied. Additionally, the 5K race is a USA Track & Field-sanctioned event.
Packet pickup will be available at Vector Brewing on April 23 from 3-7 p.m. and April 24 from 2-6 p.m. Race day pickup will be available from 7:30-8:20 a.m. at the LHJWL tent near the starting line.
Registration details, race information and sponsorship opportunities are available on the league’s website.
