Galleria Dallas is planning a major remodeling of its center court and rink-level areas as part of ongoing efforts to modernize the shopping center experience.

Construction was expected to begin this month and conclude by the end of the year, according to a statement from the shopping center. The renovation will focus on center court, the area surrounding the mall’s ice skating rink. Planned upgrades include new flooring, lighting and seating areas. The teal glass surrounding the rink will also be replaced with an off-white finish, designed to brighten and modernize the space.

Additional changes include new artwork on the center’s escalators, digital boards on level two and interactive kiosks throughout the mall. According to the statement, the kiosks will allow guests to locate stores and text directions to themselves while navigating the shopping center.

“Ongoing investment in Galleria Dallas, combined with strong growth in foot traffic, reinforces that modern shopping centers can still prosper in the digital era,” Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed said in a statement.

The project is part of a broader series of upgrades completed at the shopping center over the past several years. In 2025, Galleria Dallas completed restroom remodels, added a new entry corridor between The Westin Galleria Dallas and Bachendorf’s, and opened new party rooms on rink level for events and meetings.
