Cocktail bar Darlin’ is expected to open this summer at 2929 N. Henderson Ave., according to a D Magazine article.
Based on its Instagram page and website, the concept will have a southern vibe and may serve beer and wine in addition to cocktails, of which martinis may be featured on the menu. The bar also appears to be hiring servers, bartenders and cocktail waitresses. An exact opening date hasn’t been announced on its pages, but Darlin’ liked an Instagram post that said the bar will open on June 11.
Other businesses are reportedly scheduled to move to Henderson Avenue as well, including:
- Alberta Boot Co. and Cody & Sioux, western wear
- Ariat, another boot brand but also apparel for men, women and kids
- CAMI NYC, women’s clothing
- Guizio, women’s clothes, shoes and bags
- Jean Dousset, jeweler
- Margaux, shoes and accessories
- Sway, a spa
These are expected to be in the mixed use Henderson East development, according to a Dallas Business Journal article. A while back, Acadia Realty Trust and Ignite-Rebees announced a project to construct multiple mixed-use buildings on a long-vacant 161,000-square-foot property between Glencoe Street and McMillan Avenue. The project will include restaurants, offices and retail, and is expected to be finished by November.
