The pie place with a Bishop Arts origin has a new owner.
Emporium Pies was purchased by the Dallas-born specialty coffee company White Rhino Coffee, known for its community drive and craft-focused approach, according to a press release.
The purchase follows the ownership of sisters Landon Perdue, Jen Abohosh and Addie Roberts.
“Part of our shared mission is hospitality and giving people a reason to celebrate. We love the team, who I’ll continue working alongside, and I’m excited for this next chapter together,” Roberts said. “There’s something about dessert that brings people joy in a way nothing else can, and we’re thrilled to see that legacy carried forward.”
The bakers and Roberts will stay on staff to ensure quality and style remains unchanged, with businesses to “operate as usual for now.”
“Emporium Pies has built an extraordinary legacy,” said Sara Escamilla, CEO of White Rhino Coffee. “Their products are consistently excellent, impeccably crafted, and beloved. Every pie is made with the highest quality ingredients. To be able to support and grow a concept of this caliber is an honor.”
According to the press release, guests can look forward to future White Rhino Coffee and Emporium Pies collaborations, such as signature pie-and-coffee pairings that will be gradually introduced.
“For now, it simply means coffee and pie – two of life’s best comforts – can be enjoyed across both brands,” said Escamilla.
Editor’s note: This story’s headline was corrected to say “White Rhino Coffee purchases Emporium Pies,” not White Rock Coffee.
