The shooting that took place on South Glasgow Drive in the Willis C. Winters Park parking lot resulted in the death of a Woodrow Wilson High School student.

Dallas police responded around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 and determined that a victim, 18-year-old Wornan Garcia Padilla (who was on WWHS’s soccer team, according to The Dallas Morning News), had been shot. He was taken to a hospital where he died. Police arrested a 16-year-old suspect (unnamed because of their age), who is facing a murder charge, according to The DPD Beat.

Dallas ISD confirmed to The Dallas Morning News that three Woodrow Wilson High School students were involved in this incident. It’s unknown at this time what the third student’s role was.
