A development is coming to Red Bird’s Dallas Executive Airport, following a vote of approval from the Dallas City Council on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Hampton Hospitality LP will develop a 168,142-square-foot hotel that will feature approximately 87 rooms on over 3 acres of undeveloped airport land. Under the approved 40-year lease and development agreement, the company will invest a minimum of $7 million into the project, with the city reimbursing the company no more than $2 million for site preparation costs.
Construction for the hotel is expected to take about 24 months, according to city documents.
The hotel is expected to support revenue at the airport and contribute to the economic growth of Southern Dallas and the surrounding areas.
