The Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce’s annual Spotlighting the Cliff Awards will take place Thursday, Feb. 19.

The Spotlighting the Cliff Awards brings together artists, industry leaders, elected officials and community champions for a night that celebrates the people and places that “move Oak Cliff forward,” according to a press release.

The ceremony will feature two honorees for the Lifetime Achievement Award, which will honor Hip Hop Icon and West Dallas native Tracy Lynn Curry, aka The D.O.C., and the Public Servant of the year, which will honor U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett.

“The Spotlighting the Cliff Awards are about honoring those who have shaped our community’s past, present, and future,” said Kiyundra Jones, president of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce. “Honoring The D.O.C. and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett in the same evening is powerful — each represents excellence, authenticity, and leadership rooted in Oak Cliff.”

The event will take place at The Kessler Theater. The program begins at 6:45 p.m., following the VIP celebration, which begins at 6 p.m.
