Remember how we said that the French bakery and cafe Maman is coming to Casa Linda Plaza? Well, now, there is reportedly going to be a location in Lakewood as well.

This news does not appear to be on Maman’s website. Dallas Business Journal reported that the New York-based shop plans to move in late spring or early summer into Hillside Village Shopping Center where Palmer’s Hot Chicken, Catfish and Shrimp was. The Lakewood location is expected to open before the Casa Linda one, which may come later in the summer.

Lakewood “was a great second-generation opportunity that we came across,” co-founder Elisa Marshall said to Dallas Business Journal. “Due to that reason, we were able to flip it around a little bit quicker.”

Last fall, Maman swung open the doors to its 50th location — the one at The Plaza at Preston Center — and first in the Dallas area. Both the Lakewood and Casa Linda cafes are expected to be bigger than the one in The Plaza at Preston Center and double as event spaces, according to Dallas Business Journal. Another location is planned for the Design District at the end of this year or early 2027.
