Lake Highlands residents can test their strength—and support a good cause—at the 2nd Annual Board Break-a-Thon hosted by Born Strong Martial Arts on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 2-6 p.m.

The community fundraiser returns to Vector Brewing inviting participants of all ages and experience levels to try their hand at breaking boards.

Those interested in attending will need no previous martial arts experience. All boards and instructions will be provided on-site. Additionally, attendees can enjoy donation-based activities like board decorating sponsored by work/shop art studio. Plus, participants can enter a raffle featuring prizes from local businesses including East Dallas Vintage, JuneBugs Children’s Boutique, Cheeky Monkeys Casa Linda, Vector Brewing and more. Performances by Central Martial Arts and the Born Strong demo team are planned.

While the event is free to attend, those who want to participate in the board-breaking competition can register for $50. Registration includes a 2026 event T-shirt and the competition is open to ages 4 and up.

The event is sponsored by Marzban Law, PLLC. All proceeds benefit the Born Strong Foundation, which provides scholarships, uniforms and equipment to help make martial arts training accessible to youth.
