From weddings and school formals, to holidays and pageants, Terry Costa (12817 Preston Road, #138) has been a part of special occasions across North Dallas for decades. Founded in 1986, the spacious boutique quickly became a local go-to for gowns, growing through the years to showcase a wide range of designers and styles. Weathering many storms, including the passing of its beloved founder and namesake in 2024, Terry Costa has established itself as a Dallas legend.
In April, Terry Costa marked its 40th anniversary with a special celebration. Beginning with a visit from approximately 100 future Miss Texas pageant contestants who greeted guests while selecting their competition looks, the event continued with an in-store fashion show. Dresses by designers including Sherri Hill, Portia and Scarlett, and Ashley Lauren walked the runway, joined by the anticipated debut of Terry Costa’s all-new house line.

The Terry Costa Exclusive Collection comprises prom dresses, evening wear, and bridal gowns; all are ready-to-wear and available same-day. According to the retailer, each of the nine new designs was created to reflect an elevated style while offering ease and versatility to the wearer. Special embellishments include pearls, rhinestones, and brocade. Price points across the store range from approximately $200 to $1,000 and up.

Terry Costa’s anniversary celebration concluded with a cake-cutting and champagne toast led by Tina Lloyd, owner and CEO since 2007. “This milestone is a reflection of the people who made it possible,” she said. “We are incredibly grateful to our clients, partners and community for 40 years of support.”
