Anchor Sushi Bar located at Preston and Royal Shopping Center is set to close on May 31.
The space will be replaced by El Molino, a Tex-Mex restaurant, according to the Dallas Observer. Both restaurants are owned by the same parent company, Vandelay Hospitality. The Dallas-based group also owns restaurants including Hudson House and Drake’s.
Anchor Sushi opened in August 2023, with locations at Preston and Royal and Knox Street. The restaurant featured a “vintage yacht club” atmosphere. According to The Dallas Morning News, the Knox location will remain open.
El Molino currently operates a location in Snider Plaza. Its menu features fajitas, margaritas and seafood. The Preston and Royal location is expected to open in July, according to the Dallas Observer.
