Amateur photographers who love the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will have the chance for their photos to be displayed and sold on site this fall.
The Amateur Juried Photography Exhibition asks local photographers to “capture the unique beauty of the Dallas Arboretum in one of the four seasons.” Select photos will be featured and available for sale in the Gallery at Rosine Hall, Sept. 23 through Nov. 22. Winning photos will be printed on metal for the showcase, and the photographer will receive a 50 percent commission on each print sold.
Photos must be submitted into one of two categories: Landscape or Life in the Garden, and must have been taken in the last 12 months.
“We want to encourage photographers of all ages and levels to participate in photographing one of the most beautiful places in Dallas,” says J. Mark Wolf, Dallas Arboretum board chairman. “We’re also giving them the opportunity, if selected, to be compensated for their work through the sale of their photos.”
Participants need to register , submit photos, and pay the $30 application fee, which includes admission to the event and up to two submissions, before Sept. 1. Register and learn more here.
