At less than two months old, Maman in the Plaza at Preston Center represents the New York-based chain’s first Texas location. Founded in 2014 by Benjamin Sormonte and Elisa Marshall, the brand has grown from a single Manhattan café to 50 locations across North America while collecting celebrity fans, a mention from Oprah’s Favorite Things, and many notable partnerships.
Upon announcing the opening, Plaza at Preston Center shared that co-founder Elisa Marshall saw Dallas as a “perfect fit” for the brand. She also gave a specific nod to our neighborhood’s “blend of charm, appreciation for good food, and beautifully designed spaces.”
