Saucy’s opened in 2012, and soon became a neighborhood favorite.
Saucy’s Thai & Pho, a neighborhood mainstay, has closed. Open since mid-2012, the cafe at 5944 Royal Lane was a sibling restaurant from the owners of Thai Thai on Lower Greenville in Dallas and Saucy’s on Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
A message posted to the restaurant’s Instagram page announced the closure earlier this month, along with a hopeful mention of a search for an alternative location:
“For fourteen wonderful years, you’ve shared meals, laughter, and memories with us, and we’re incredibly thankful for your unwavering support. We hope to reopen nearby soon if we can find a suitable location. Until that time, thank you for being part of our story and allowing us to be part of yours.”
The closure comes following the recent addition of Kawa Omakase to the Preston Royal Southwest shopping center. The elevated Japanese restaurant, specializing in sushi handrolls and prix fixe meals, opened next door to Saucy’s in May of last year.
