It’s not easy being vegan in a state that prides itself on barbecue and steak, but it could be a heck of a lot worse.

Vegan lifestyle magazine VegNews even named Dallas the eighth best vegan city in the country, alongside hipster haven Portland and ever-trendy Los Angeles.

Now, one of Dallas’ most popular vegan eateries is opening its third location in North Dallas. Nature’s Plate plans to welcome customers to Preston Forest Square this December.

The restaurant is run by sisters Annette Baker and Marianne Lacko. It launched in Lake Highlands in 2014 and has a spot in East Dallas, as well as pick-up locations in Plano and Oak Cliff.
