It’s a bird… It’s a plane… No, it’s a 50-foot Ferris wheel that’s inviting guests to one of Dallas’ new restaurants: Ferris Wheelers.

Starting Monday, Sept. 25., Ferris Wheelers’ centerpiece will definitely catch some eyes for those out for a night in the Design District. However, the main focus is on the BBQ that head pitmaster Doug Pickering will be serving.

According to a press release, there will be a wide variety of meats like brisket, ribs, house-made sausage, honey-brined smoked turkey breast and pork shoulder. As for the “southern-influenced sides,” smoked BBQ beans, smoked green beans, BBQ mac & cheese, jalapeño bacon cole slaw and southwestern potato salad are all on the menu.

Pickering hopes visitors from all over North Texas will come in enjoy the food as well as the 7,000-square-foot backyard patio, where guests can enjoy Texas-inspired cocktails, craft brews and games.

“Once people step inside [Ferris Wheelers], they’ll realize this is a serious BBQ destination serving up what we believe will compete for the best BBQ in the state,” Pickering said.

Ferris Wheelers is located on 1950 Market Center Blvd. The kitchen will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
