Food news: Starbucks to close for a day for ‘racial bias education’ and more

The T Room at Forty Five Ten on McKinney shall shutter. Culture Map reports that, “The restaurant, which served for 18 years as one of the top lunch destinations for the tasteful-ladies set, will close on June 30.”

The sushi void left in Victory Park when Kenichi vacated reportedly will be filled with Kent Rathbun’s new venture. Kenichi’s owners last winter opened Musume in the Arts District a few blocks away. Musume means “daughter.” Rathbun’s place is called Imoto, which means “little sister.”

Natures Plate opened a store at Preston Forest Square for all the vegans out there, Eater reports.

All 8,000-plus Starbucks locations will close for the day on May 29 for racial bias training, Guide Live reminds.
