I just can’t help doing a double take as I scroll through Twitter and see the (many, many) images of the campaigning-his-butt-off Beto O’ Rourke, the Democratic nominee in the 2018 Texas Senate race, challenging Republican incumbent Ted Cruz.
At a glance, on my small, cracked iPhone screen, anyway, I always initially think Beto is Craig “Junior” Miller, longtime “Musers” morning show host on The Ticket 1310.
I, along with a gazillion other metroplex dwellers, have been listening to the guy since I was a teenager, and I run into him occasionally on the trails — he’s an avid cyclist and used to be a hardcore runner — or at the gym.
In fact, now that I think of it, he must think I am a perpetually sweaty person.
Anyway, you be the judge. Have we ever seen these two in the same room?
